It’s amazing how rude people can be sometimes. Yesterday, I saw a car honk at somebody that was blind (had the white cane). Please show some class folks!

We are really lucky – in my town, the buses talk… not the drivers, the buses. They announce their bus and route at each stop, they announce upcoming stops, they tell you if a stop has been requested. When they come to a transfer point, they even list all the buses you can connect to… I love it! Great work on navigating the transit system, it brings with it HUGE independence!

Great post. I completely agree. It makes me sad that any parent doesn’t want their child to see a message from our president. I hope the kids rebel and tell their parents that they’re being stupid.

It is interesting that most of children whose parents will be opting out are white. It’s the last gasp of racism, plain and simple. Lots of hate speech in my area masquerading as “first amendment rights”.

We need to call BS on them when they try that. Don’t just stay silent, folks (on both sides and in the middle) take that as agreement. If you don’t agree, say so!

I watched ER for years also. When they killed off Dr. Green and Dr. Carter appeared less and less, the show lost a lot of it’s appeal to me.

Rich, this is all very interesting to me because I had no idea how any of it works.

As for the drivers being “nice, but not overly friendly”, I figure that’s a step up from the average person in Philly, so that’s a plus.

I like this post Rich, it’s very well written. I prefer for people to ask me about Jude’s situation rather than stare. I have no problem sharing the challenges he has overcome, and the faith we have for his future.

This really is a good one. I think almost every minute about how hard Lilah struggles to see. As you read in the post today. I worry for her. I am scared and nervous for her. All I can do is try to get her the best care possible.

I really like this post too, Rich. I actually have been working on something kind of similar to this.

I don’t know what it is like to be Noah but I do know that it has to be so hard and so frustrating. It’s hard and frustrating for me as his Mom.

Recently, I wasn’t in the room and Noah needed the lamp on and tried to turn it on himself. He couldn’t because his fine motor skills just don’t allow him to. His brain knew what to do but his hands just wouldn’t cooperate. He got very frustrated and upset about it. Later, I sat and thought about how terrible it must be to want something as simple as a lamp turned on and not be able to do it for yourself.
