Well I guess its about time I discuss my camera gear a little bit, as a new year comes and I prepare for another year of shooting. After all this is a photography related blog.

The Camera(s):
Nikon D2x 12.2mp D-SLR and Nikon D3 12.2mp (Full Frame) D-SLR… The flagships of the Nikon lineup. Before this, I did shoot film, with my first camera the Nikon N70 35mm film body, and then moved to the Nikon F100 35mm film body.

The Nikon D2x has served me well, when I moved to digital. Last seasnon for Little Leage it took over 15k photos… This season we’ll be using the Nikon D3 (much faster, and better noise reduction at higher ISO), and suspect it will BLOW YOUR MIND!

Lenses:
Nikon 24mm f/2.8 AF-D
Nikon 50mm f/1.4 AF-D – My first true Nikkor!
Nikon 60mm f/2.8 AF-D Macro
Nikon 85mm f/1.8 AF-D
Nikon 28-70mm f/2.8 AF-S
Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8 AF-S VR
Nikon 300mm f/2.8 AF-S VR
Nikon TC-14E II 1.4x and TC-20E II 2x Teleconverters
Nikon SB-800 Speedlight

Nikon 300mm f/2.8 AF-S VR

Other Equipment:
Misc flash cables, PocketWizard Plus II Radio Slaves, Bogen Manfrotto Monopod and Tripod, Bogen Magic Arm and SuperClamp… ThinkTank Hydrophobia™ 300 – 600 Rain Cover, Plastic Trash Bags, and Gaffer Tape…

Digital Stuff:
Lexar Flash Cards, 4x 2GB, 2x 4GB, and 2x 8GB, Lexar FireWire 800 Card Reader, Apple PowerMac G5 1.8Ghz w/ 4GB RAM, 160GB and 500GB HD, Apple 23″ HD Display, Monaco OPTIX-XR (X-Rite) Monitor Calibrator, Epson Stylus Pro 3800 17″ Photo Printer, RotaTrim 24″ Professional Rotary Cutter.

Travel Gear:
ThinkTank Airport Security 2.0 Roller, and “Speed Freak” Hip Pack (My grab and go for sports!)… ThinkTank Pixel Pocket Rocket, Lens Drop Small Pouch, and LightningFast Flash Pouch… ThinkTank Photo ROCKS!

Did I forget something? Any way… if you have any questions about the gear, let me know, or leave your comments! Do keep in mind, I did not buy all this “stuff” in 1 day or 1 year… I have been shooting for over 10 years, and only buy equipment as needed; and when money will allow.

My Little League Kit:
Nikon D2x, Nikon D3, 3 Nikon Batteries, Nikon 28-70mm f/2.8, 70-200mm f/2.8, and 300mm f/2.8, 50mm f/1.4 AF-D, the 1.4x TC, 2x TC, and my Bogen Monopod… Packed in my ThinkTank “Speed Freak” Hip Pack and Lens Drop in Small Pouch. Oh, and SPF-50 Sport sun block!!! If rain is expected, I also take my ThinkTank Hydrophobia™ 300 – 600 rain cover, for my 300mm / camera.

Almost the same kit is used for Wrestling, minus the teleconverters and 2nd body, because the D2x dose not perform well in bad gym light.Sometimes I will take my SB-800 flash but it is rarely used. (I don’t like using flash for sports!)
